For some reason I always forget they still make these, then I remember again and want one. It’s also the only new car I can think of that comes with a plaid interior. And in a way, you could consider it to be a new MR2 - it’s a mid engine, rear wheel drive Toyota powered two-seater. Adjusted for inflation, it also costs about the same as an MR2 did (at least in the UK)

I can’t imagine dailying one - I’ve heard they’re horrifically impractical. Which is sort of a shame, as it means it’s the type of car you’d only use for weekends rather than commuting.

In defense of others, VWOA does only offer plaid it it’s base model gti as of late.
